SAIP requested public consultation on the agreement to protect phonogram producers from unauthorized duplication of their phonogramsPublic Relations
The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property has called on all those interested to express an opinion on the ‘Agreement for the Protection of Phonographic Producers from the Unauthorized Duplication of Their Phonograms’, and to submit written opinions or notes in this regard before the date of Thursday 5/16/1442 AH (12/31/2020 ) by sending them to the Authority’s mail. email@example.com with the name of the person or institution providing the comments.
The phonogram means any exclusively aural fixation of sounds of a performance or of other Sounds.
This comes from its belief in the importance of protecting phonogram producers from unauthorized copies, and this will be in the interest of performers and authors whose achievements and works have been recorded on these phonograms.
In the framework of the operational strategy of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property SAIP is currently studying the appropriateness of the accession of Saudi Arabia to number of international intellectual property treaties
