Inauguration of 21 centers for the national network of intellectual property support centers in 5 regions in the Kingdom

Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, in partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organization, launched today the first phase of the national network of intellectual property support centers by launching 21 centers in 5 regions across the Kingdom, which are: Makkah, Al-Madinah, the Eastern Region, Al-Qassim and the capital, Riyadh, to facilitate access to local technical information and services related to intellectual property fields to the members of the network.

During this, 6 agreements were signed with the government and private sectors of King Abdulaziz University, Taibah University, Effat University, King Fahd Medical City, Saudi Health Council and I-be company, in the presence of the CEO of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property Dr. Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Al-Swailem and in the presence of a representative from the World Property Organization Intellectual Mr. Mossadak Hussain.

This comes as an indication of the importance of intellectual property as a tool to promote intangible values and their impact on the global economy in general and the national economy in particular by generating and using intellectual property rights and benefiting from, respecting and nurturing them, in accordance with global best practices.
