Former Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization, a consultant to the Saudi Authority for Intellectual PropertyPublic Relations
The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property announced the joining of the previous former Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Mr. Francis Gurry, as a consultant to SAIP, as of January 3, 2020.
SAIP stated that Mr. Francis is an Australian and has experience and competence in the field of intellectual property, as he began by obtaining his first honorary titles, which is the Burke Prize from the College of Law at the University of Cambridge in 1980 AD, followed by many honorary titles and decorations. Prior to his appointment as a consultant to SAIP, Mr. Gurry was Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization, WIPO, from October 1, 2008, until September 30, 2020.
It is worth noting that Mr. Francis Gurry is an Australian lawyer with several degrees in law from the University of Melbourne in Australia, a doctorate degree from the University of Cambridge in UK and an honorary professor and an honorary doctorate in a wide range of countries, also he is the author of a number of books, one of which has become a legal reference on dishonesty in the United Kingdom where it was published by Oxford University with title ( Gurry on Breach of Confidence).
