(I respect intellectual property rights) as a motto for the activities of Round 25 of the Professional League

The Saudi Professional League has concluded its preparations in cooperation with the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property to launch a series of intellectual property rights awareness-raising activities and messages to be held at the 25th round of the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Professional League under the slogan “I respect intellectual property rights” .

In cooperation with the SPL Association, the Authority has prepared, through a joint team, several video and text messages, which will be displayed on the screens of the stadiums where the matches will be held. Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal match will include various activities before it started inside and outside King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, including interactive pavilions for the sports fans to introduce the intellectual property fields.

In cooperation with the Association, The Authority aims to raise the awareness and respect of intellectual property rights in the society, especially with regard to the rights of sports clubs, in an effort to preserve these rights, and to raise sports fans awareness on the importance of preserving, developing and nurturing them according to the best local and international practices in this regard, thus contributing to increasing their trade revenues and raising the level of their financial revenues.

The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property signed an agreement with the Saudi Professional League Association in December to activate joint cooperation between the Association, clubs and government sectors related to the preservation of intellectual property rights, where The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property is responsible for organizing, supporting, developing, sponsoring, protecting, enforcing and upgrading intellectual property fields in the Kingdom.

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has announced the allocation of the World Intellectual Property Day, which falls on April 26 each year for the sports field, to be the theme of the current year (the strength of sports by participation, inspiration and innovation, and unite us all in pushing the limits of human achievement).
