Changing the ownership of a patent

A service that allows the patent applicant to transfer/change the ownership of the application from the current owner to the new one.

1. Step 2
- Login to the SAIP website, select Services, and click on Patent Service.
2. Step 3
- Login to the Invention Portal system.
3. Step 4
- Login to the Service Platform through the One National Access/e-mail.
4. Step 5
- Select the Change Ownership icon.
5. Step 6
- Select the application whose ownership is to be changed.

- Fill out the data and attach the legal documents.

- Send the application

- If the transfer/change application is approved, an electronic invoice will be issued for the payment of Fee
9. Step 10
- Pay the Fees.
