A service provided to the trademark owner to mortgage his/her trademark to a person/institution by agreement between the two parties under a legal contract according to which the First Party grants the ownership of the trademark to the Second Party.

1. Note:
- Dear Beneficiary, In its ongoing efforts to develop its systems and provide the best possible services, the Authority is pleased to announce the launch of the Unified Intellectual Property Platform. This platform will handle all procedures stipulated by law for trademark registrations filed from December 19, 2023, onwards, via the following link: https://eservices.saip.gov.sa/. We are also happy to inform you that we will continue to serve all trademarks registered before December 19, 2023, and you can access all related services through the following link: https://tm.saip.gov.sa/

- 1- Visit the SAIP Headquarters and submit a license cancellation request on the publications of companies or institutions.

- 2- If it is an individual/local institution, a letter of agreement between the two parties shall be attached with the trademark owner’s documents in which full trademark information and the mortgage term shall be stated and the documents shall be ratified by the notary public.

- 3- If it is a foreign individual/institution, the mortgage shall be made through a notary in the trademark owner’s country. The relevant documents shall contain the trademark information and the term of mortgage and shall be ratified by such country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Saudi embassy.

- 4- Issue a trademark mortgage and publication invoice.

- 5- Upon the payment of fees, the service shall be provided to the client (mortgage).
